About the Products
While I was at a friends I noticed an array of brightly packaged Bed Head (by Tigi) products on her beauty shelf, ranging from hair conditioners to sprays to shampoos and conditioners. I'd noticed them in salons before but had never spoke to someone who used them; being the lovely girl that she is she washed her hair and got spritzing and styling to show me just how well these products worked for her, from that moment I was hooked and had to have them!
The friend in question brought special attention to 'Small Talk' - a three in one styler which is to be used while hair dries either naturally or with a blow dryer to add body and volume whilst protecting and controlling the hair. She applied it to the hair by rubbing a single pump of product between her fingers to soften it and then rubbed it quickly through her hair, she then allowed it to naturally dry telling me it would 'dry crispy' but brush out as beautifully soft and voluptuous hair. This alarmed me a little, and it did indeed dry very hard and crispy, but to my amazement when she brushed through her hair the product disappeared and left super shiny, super soft hair with super volume with a natural looking 'bounce' - incredible.
'Ego Boost' was something I saw on the site myself which I wanted to to try, it's a leave in conditioner which should be applied to the tips of the hair to protect and restore. It is applied similarly to any pump action conditioner - smoothed on the ends of wet hair only - and then styled however you wish.
Both products smell incredible and are excellent value for money, a little goes a very long way!
There are many haircare products sold by Tigi who market a wide range of collections including 'Bed Head', 'Catwalk' and 'Rockaholic' - all tailored to suit your personality and hair needs! Tigi products are used in many salons across the world and retail only in professional salons and on professional websites.

About Gorgeous Shop
Once I arrived home from my friends I immediately signed online to find the products and came across gorgeousshop.co.uk - a website selling haircare, body care, beauty, tan and accessories at slightly cheaper prices than the RRP. With a great range of products on offer including Xen Tan, Bare Minerals, Clarins, Essie nail polish and Kerastase haircare - to name a few - I got on with researching the site. After finding no problems I decided to make an order and see how they faired against favourites such as ASOS (who retail a few Tigi products but none of the ones I wanted).
My order came to £16 in total including P&P as the Bed Head products are currently on offer at half price; it could have cost me almost £30 if I had ordered them in other stores or bought them in my local salon. Current offers include 30% off Xen Tan, 15% off Essie nail products and 30% off Kerastase, again to name a few (I found most of the products on the website had some sort of offer).
I made my order Tuesday morning and it arrived Thursday morning, that same week, even though I had only ordered standard delivery - which costs £3.50.  Already thoroughly impressed I opened my package to find the products really well wrapped in bubble wrap and film to ensure the nibs did not crack through postage, this pleased me greatly as I have received haircare products in the post before which had clearly been handled poorly and were packaged incorrectly so had snapped.
As an extra bonus I had a few vouchers in the box and a free shower bag (pictured), which will be really useful to travel my hair products to university, from home, to Alex's, etc.
I'm really glad I took the plunge and used a website which was new to me as it worked out really well, I am definitely going to be ordering some more Bed Head products and some Essie polish from them in the near future.
Nail polish giant 'O.P.I' are rumoured to have recently confirmed the release of a 'Pink Shatter' polish named 'Pink of Hearts' in aid of breast cancer with hopes to raise over $25,000 from sales and gift $25,000 as well. This release follows a five year-long partnership between OPI and 'Susan G - Komen for the Cure' which has raised considerable amounts of money from gorgeous and limited edition shades of pink since it began in 2007.
Suzi Weiss-Fischmann, OPI Executive and Artistic Director is believed to have released the following statement:
“We are continuing to support Susan G. Komen for the Cure in the hopes of increasing breast cancer awareness, while inspiring and empowering women.  The organization’s dedication to this cause is unwavering...OPI is proud to join with Susan G. Komen for the fifth consecutive year to offer Pink Shatter: Pink of Hearts.  By launching our first-ever Pink Shatter coat, we hope this exciting new textured hue will generate lots of awareness for this cause.”
The RRP is believed to be $8.50 in the US - there is no word whether this exclusive bottle will be released in the UK at the time of posting, but I certainly hope it will be!

Providing this is not just rumour, 'Pink Shatter' should be on sale from September 2011, be sure to follow the crackle trend and help a fabulous cause by picking up a bottle in store and online! Let's crack breast cancer together.

Pink Shatter has now launched in the US and UK, exclusively to Lena White.
With mousse products being so current in the beauty world, it is surprising the No7 version was withdrawn from sale; after receiving complaints in their thousands Boots have decided to bring back by such popular demand the No7 favourite - 'Intelligent Balance Mousse Foundation'.
A few changes have been made to the foundation; the formula remains the same and still includes an application tool but the pot will be re-released with a cream coloured lid and has a price increase to £12.50 to match the rest of the No7 foundation range.
The foundation will now be available in four (rather than the previous six) shades:
  • New Ivory (10)
  • Buff (15)
  • Blonde (20)
  • Almond (30)
You can ask the No7 representative to match you to your perfect shade.

CLAIMS: "Give your skin a powder-soft finish with this dreamy soft mousse colour. It glides on effortlessly for a barely there feel, and keeps the skin shine free all day long with a soft, natural-looking finish. Light-diffusing particles soften the appearance of fine lines for a luminous look, indoor or out. Fragrance free, this clever mousse not only provides beautiful coverage but knows where the skin needs to hold onto moisture, and where it needs to work on holiday back shine."

DIRECTIONS: Twist off the lid and dot a little mousse where you need it most, usually your cheeks, nose and chin. Blend smoothly and evenly with your fingers or a sponge, working downwards and outwards from the centre of your face.

I've personally always been a fan of the No7 foundation range; although some of their other products seem hit and miss there is a foundation shade and type to suit any lady's needs - light or medium coverage, heavy or weightless, dark skin or light skin, the list goes on! The representatives are really well trained and helpful in finding the customers exact foundation match and can usually direct them towards offers and give handy tips about care and application. I use my No7 foundation more than I use my Mac foundation right now, so I'll definitely be giving this mousse re-release a go once testers are available in store. I love how long lasting the products are and they give fantastic coverage, a review will be coming very soon.

No7 Intelligent Balance Mousse Foundation is to be released in stores October 5th (it has not yet been announced when testers will be available), but if you can't wait until then get it exclusively online now at Boots.com while the entire No7 range is 3 for 2. You will collect 48 points with this purchase on your Advantage Card as well.

MAC have been well known for their 'Giving Back' ranges for a number of years, drawing in many celebrities as key ambassadors for the lines released as limited editions to raise money for well deserving charities.
The most recent ambassador and face of the current 'Viva Glam' range, which aims to raise awareness and funds for Aids charities, is Lady GaGa. It is no surprise that the first line was a hit with customers and became a sell-out, so much so that a second line - Viva Glam VI - was released.

Princess Nail Art

5 July 2011
When I saw the Katy Perry for O.P.I collection I knew I had to have the sparkly sensation that is 'Teenage Dream', but when it arrived I realised it was a lot harder to team with my tastes than I first thought!
After a little playing about I have finally found my favourite 'Teenage Dream' combo, which gives a girly princessy finish, it is quite simply Teenage Dream layered over 'Heart Throb' - a shade which I havn't been getting along with because it faintly shows my natural nails even after three coats!
First I began by prepping my nails with OPI base and top coats, giving ample time to dry. Once dry, I layered three coats of 'Heart Throb' and then one coat of Teenage Dream. Once dry, I added one coat of Top Coat to give a smoother finish.
When the Pirates of the Caribbean Stranger Tides O.P.I range was released I was so disappointed; the shades in my eyes were dull and not very summer ready despite the SS11 release time of the collection. Sparrow Me The Drama is my top pick from the collection, which I picked up a little later after the collection was released.
The formula is good quality and the brush allows for quick application in three stokes and dries in a couple of minutes. One slick of polish is ample colour for adding colour to your nails but two coats packs full pigmentation.
Sparrow Me The Drama is a cool lilac hue, it will look great against most skin tones. This shade is quite true to the colour in the bottle, but I feel it looks a lot nicer on the nail.

OPI Sparrow Me The Drama retails for £11.50 from various stockists.
